It is only for the protocol and without offending another method/tool and its respective authors that I would try the WinsetupFromUSBwithGUI approach which I believe is the most tested (successfully). The last of them causes the computer to restart again and again because of an error that matches what was said in a place I checked, but none of the other options seem to work. Is the problem that I have changed the files or is there a problem with Rufus? If it is the first, is it possible to get XP to install and boot successfully on an external hard drive? If it`s that last point, what do I have to do to make it work, if Rufus works for it? I tried bios 0x80, 0x81 and 0x82.
I didn`t find a solution that worked, so I`m posting it here.
